Strength and resiliency through woodworking

Our business specializes in manufacturing custom Roman Workbenches
Roman Workbenches
The Problem:
Current commercial offerings for woodworking workbenches are expensive and limited to high workbenches for standing use only and are often assembled with hardware that works itself loose with use and must be routinely tightened to remain usable. The problem with these products is that they only accommodate people who can stand for prolonged periods, are built to a fixed height which does not accommodate people of different heights, have limited work-holding capabilities, and due to the nut and bolt assembly are less rugged than workbenches made with traditional joinery techniques.
The Solution:
The Roman Workbench offers a unique solution for woodworkers on a limited budget and with limited space. These workbenches only require a 6'x8' workspace for the standard size workbench, making it ideal for small spaces such as apartments, porches/patios, or small worships; the workbench can be used as supplemental seating after removing the planning stop or it can be stacked on end against a wall to save space. Roman Workbenches are ideal for a traveling workbench due to their relatively lightweight and compact size, and can easily be loaded into a vehicle by 1-2 persons for transportation to events such as local woodworker meetups, or use on a job site. The advantages of this product are that it is less expensive, offers a variety of work-holding solutions, is more durable than market competitor products, and is more adaptable to people of different heights from adults to children and people with physical limitations such as mobility issues. These workbenches are lifetime heritage products that are well-built using traditional joinery!
Considerations:
Our workbenches are custom-made to order by hand for each customer based on their individual needs. The pricing below is a general guideline, but for exact pricing and customization please use "Contact Us". Shipping costs vary by design dimensions, weight, packing material requirements, and the shipping destination. Discounts are available for Disabled Veterans and First Responders with documented mobility issues.
Customers sometimes ask about the costs of our workbenches and we remind them of the hidden expenses. Factors for pricing include the material costs, such as lumber, hardware, and consumables (glue, sandpaper, etc.); tool lifecycle replacement and maintenance; skilled labor costs in custom wood joinery and manufacturing which takes 7-15 years to develop; product design, development, and testing; facility usage and utilities; business operating costs; taxes and fees; and shipping costs.

As a disabled Veteran who deals with Traumatic Brain Injuries, and balance problems, I have good days and bad days. Some days, I can walk around like normal, other days I use a walker, and on my worst days, I use a wheelchair. The Roman Workbenches from Freedom Timbercraft have given me a new lease on life and allowed me to use woodworking to practice Mindfulness by keeping my hands and mind occupied in a productive way to overcome the challenges of PTSD and Depression. I hope that you find their workbenches as helpful as I have!
